Hold My Head

By Kell

hold me by the head

the back of my head

tell me it's alright as your palm meets my neck

then back again to my forehead

your pinky brushing across my nose bridge

hair tumbling out of the way

a motion full of warmth

fingers pushing forth

sunlight on my temple

summer can't come soon enough but

in this winter I am here with you

in the dark I am here with you

nestled by your heartbeat

your softness holds me close

like the open jaws of an angel from the sea

ready to consume

without all the digesting me

to hold me in the hollow of your body

stroke me with your lungs

voice reverberating through me and

I feel so very stowed away

secret to the wider world

safe from every pain in here

surrounded and complete

and when I come back out

and taste the atmosphere

I know I can hold your hand

our pulses can touch one another

to sync back up again
